Fujairah Hospital was established in 1984 with a capacity of 100 beds at that time, and the hospital developed and increased its capacity today to reach 330 beds, and provides services to the residents of the Emirate of Fujairah in addition to the residents of the Sultanate of Oman residing in nearby areas. The hospital provides 8 procedural services and 31 major and sub-specialties for outpatients, inpatients, accident and emergency patients, and intensive care patients, in addition to 8 supportive medical services. It is the only government hospital that includes a Thalassemia Center and a nuclear medicine service. Obtaining international accreditation for hospitals by the Joint Commission International (JCI) and accreditation of the hospital as a center of excellence in obesity and metabolic surgery, accredited as a friend of mother and child and more achievements.
