The firm has made an ‘impressive rise to prominence of late’ (Chambers Global), seizing a significant chunk of the mid-market work which is where most of the action was in 2012. The firm has recently made significant hires in litigation, life sciences and compliance as well as in corporate finance, insolvency, anti-corruption and white collar crime putting Galadari’ corporate offering on an entirely different level. The department went through a shake-up in 2012 and although the management forced some departures in the spring it was to make room for a new direction which is already seeing significant results. The Construction team also now has an impressive line-up that includes the former branch chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, an experienced dually qualified Chartered QS/Arbitrator/lawyer, chartered arbitrators and accredited mediators and adjudicators, which compliments the already formidable litigation team at Galadari which still houses the largest dispute practice in the UAE. 2012 has so far seen 22 hires across all practice areas.
