The abusive conversation has landed them in court.
Two wives of the same man stood trial in the Ras Al Khaimah Misdemeanour Court on charges of insulting each other and exchanging abusive words on WhatsApp.

Court records show the litigants, both Arabs, had a heated argument after one of them got angry when she saw her husband going to the house of the other a few months back.

As per the indictment sheet, the first wife insulted the second via WhatsApp text messages, and copied one of her private photos from her husband's cell phone.

She allegedly threatened to defame the second wife through WhatsApp messages while attaching the private photos.

When interrogated by the police, prosecution and court, the first wife admitted to insulting her husband's second wife, but denied coping any photo from the man's cell phone.

She claimed to have got the photos from the mobile phone of some unidentified person outside the country.

The woman added that she shared the private photos after the end of litigation without anyone knowing any background or details of the same.

"She took my husband away from me and encouraged him to desert me and his kids," the first wife told the court

The court said, as per the husband's testimony, his first wife was the one who copied the photo of his second wife from his cell phone and then threatened to defame her using those private snaps.

"He is lying and standing by his second wife," the first wife said, pointing out that her husband had abandoned her and her children for seven months.

The second wife said the first was the one who started insulting her on WhatsApp, and sent her the photos. However, the court told her that the prosecution investigations showed that she was the one who started abusing the first wife.

The court ordered adjournment of the case to next week for issuing its verdict.
