
ccording to an official handout, Lahore will have its tallest structure on the bank of the Ravi River after the UAE's Dhabi Group reached an agreement with the Punjab Government to invest Rs60 billion in the Pakistani province.
The signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the construction of the 'Mubarak Centre,' which will be an iconic project with commercial, residential, and entertainment facilities, was witnessed by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, who is in Dubai for a three-day visit, and the UAE Minister for Tolerance and Coexistence Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak.
Buzdar told the UAE minister that the Punjab government is creating a favorable atmosphere for international investment, as Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan had envisioned.
"This new project on Ravi's bank will herald in a new age of progress in Lahore," the chief minister said, adding that the Central Business District Project, which will draw international investment to the province, had also been launched successfully.
Boost for the building industry
Sheikh Nahyan greeted the chief minister warmly and offered a massive investment in Punjab's building industry.

Buzdar, speaking at the ceremony, stated that more than Rs60 billion would be invested in Lahore's building sector.
