Following Saudi Arabia, the UAE announced that Friday, August 2, 2019, is the beginning of the month of Zul Hijjah for the year 1440 AH. The Day of Arafat will be on August 10, while Eid Al Adha will be on Sunday, August 11.
According to a statement issued by the Saudi Supreme Court, the announcement came after the court committees checked and saw the crescent of Zul Hijjah 1440 on Thursday evening.
