The GCC's highly anticipated project, the first railway line connecting the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia over a 1,200km network, has become even more exciting with the Etihad Rail Uber deal. 

A recently signed agreement aims to explore the possibility of dedicated pick-up and drop-off areas for Uber passengers within the railway stations, providing a seamless journey experience. The agreement was made during the meeting between the two parties at the Middle East Rail event in May. 

Once the passenger train service launches, it will transport approximately 400 people between 11 cities and areas across the UAE, covering a distance from Al Sila in the west to Fujairah in the north. This means that traveling from Abu Dhabi to Dubai by train will only take 50 minutes. 

Currently, the Etihad Rail track is utilized for freight transportation across the country, passing through stunning landscapes such as the mountains of Fujairah and the Al Maha Forest in Abu Dhabi.
