Firefighters managed to control a fire that broke out in a residential flat in the old industrial area of Umm Al Quwain.

No casualties were reported.

The Civil Defense Department in Umm Al Quwain posted a video regarding the incident on their Instagram handle. 

Upon receiving the tipoff, firefighters were dispatched to the blaze. Nearly 50 people were evacuated from the building and its surrounding area. 

After extinguishing the fire, the site was handed over to the relevant authorities to complete the necessary procedures. 

The operation was supervised by Lieutenant Colonel Salem Hamad bin Hamza, Director of Civil Defense Department in Umm Al Quwain; Major Ahmad Buharun, Administrative Officer; Captain Rashid Jassim, Al Abraq Center Officer; and First Lieutenant Ali Salem, Director of Media and Public Relations Branch.
