On Tuesday, former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was arrested by paramilitary forces at a court in Islamabad regarding a corruption case, according to local media outlet GEO TV. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing a swarm of paramilitary personnel surrounding Khan and taking him away in a vehicle. Khan's party shared the video and alleged that he was "badly pushed."

The Islamabad High Court's Chief Justice Aamer Farooq directed the Islamabad police chief, the interior ministry secretary, and the additional attorney general to appear before the court within 15 minutes, as reported by Dawn. The Pakistani newspaper quoted Justice Farooq as saying, "Come to court and tell us why Imran has been arrested and in which case."

Imran Khan's party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), also shared a video of an injured man with blood stains on his shirt, claiming that Khan's lawyer was "badly injured" inside the court premises of IHC. PTI leader Azhar Mashwani tweeted, "Black day for our democracy and country."
