According to the police, an Emirati individual lost their life, and another sustained injuries when the pick-up truck they were traveling in collided with a traffic sign.

A senior officer reported that the incident occurred in the vicinity of an intersection within the Shamal area of the emirate, as detailed in a report published by the Arabic newspaper Al Khaleej. The authorities determined that the vehicle veered near the intersection before colliding with the pole. These findings were conveyed by Col Dr. Mohammed Al Bahar, the acting director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police, as cited in the report.

Upon receiving the accident report, an emergency response team was promptly dispatched to the scene. Both the driver and the passenger were swiftly transported to the hospital for medical attention.

Despite the efforts of paramedics to resuscitate the Emirati passenger, he tragically succumbed to the severe injuries he had sustained. Meanwhile, the driver, while injured, was reported to be in a stable condition
