In the initial trading hours on Monday, the rupee exhibited limited movement against the US dollar, influenced by a downturn in the domestic stock market.

According to forex traders, the rupee's narrow trading range is attributed to persistent foreign fund outflows and an upward trend in crude oil prices, contributing to a subdued investor sentiment. At the interbank foreign exchange, the Indian currency commenced the session at 83.25 against the dollar (23.12 against the UAE dirham). It later reached a peak of 83.23 and a trough of 83.27 against the US dollar.
