The United Arab Emirates (UAE) health authorities have unveiled an upgraded version of the AlHosn app, aiming to ensure accurate and reliable information for users. This update is a significant step towards bolstering child vaccination coverage across the nation, according to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP).

Initially designed as the official UAE app for COVID-19 contact tracing and health testing, AlHosn has transformed into the country's primary digital healthcare platform for vaccination records.

The latest AlHosn app update, as highlighted by MoHAP, introduces an array of digital solutions that empower families to track their children's vaccination status seamlessly. Furthermore, this update guarantees users access to credible information, thanks to the collaborative efforts between MoHAP and local health authorities.

Dr. Hussain Al Rand, the assistant undersecretary for Public Health at MoHAP, emphasized that this update represents a significant advancement in the UAE's healthcare sector's smart transformation journey. It streamlines access to children's vaccination records in alignment with the National Immunization Programme.

The UAE government mandates vaccinations for children from birth until they reach Grade 11, encompassing immunizations against diseases such as tuberculosis, hepatitis B, polio, and tetanus, among others.

Dr. Al Rand emphasized the UAE government's commitment to employing smart technologies and applications to engage with the community effectively, ensuring comprehensive health coverage and sustaining high vaccination rates. Vaccinations, recognized as one of the most effective preventive measures against infectious diseases, play a vital role in safeguarding children's health and strengthening community immunity.
