Health Magazine's Annual Health Awards 2023, held at the Grand Hyatt, recognized 63 exceptional healthcare professionals in the UAE. Over 800 leaders from the public and private healthcare sectors attended the event.
Kate Hoffman, Group Chief Nurse at NMC, emphasized the pivotal role of nurses, stating, “Nurses are the backbone of a healthcare system. They ensure that every patient receives outstanding care and have been acknowledged for their commitment and dedication.”
Under the patronage of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, the awards aim to promote comprehensive healthcare practices by acknowledging individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions to holistic well-being.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, served as the chief guest, presenting the Annual Health Awards 2023 to 52 outstanding contributors from both sectors. He also honored 11 special awardees for their pioneering roles in shaping the healthcare industry in the region.
Al Nahyan congratulated the winners, emphasizing the awards' recognition of sustained dedication, commitment, and remarkable achievements. He stated, “These awards highlight the winners’ outstanding work and give us a chance to thank them for their contributions to society. This celebration is an expression of both our pride and our gratitude. It is also a celebration of the values we share and hold dear.”
In the Health Tech Categories, Holistic Healing Medical Center in Dubai received an award for excellence in Homeopathy. Diana Zeitouni, the general manager, expressed gratitude, highlighting the clinic's 25-year journey in holistic healing and over 150,000 successful cases of natural healing.
Dr. Thumbay Moideen, founder president of the Thumbay Group, expressed support for the excellence program, noting that the Annual Health Awards aim to foster positivity, inclusivity, and promote the achievements of healthcare professionals and institutions. He emphasized the UAE's tradition of championing innovation and the awards' role in recognizing contributions, providing a platform to showcase commendable efforts and inspire future generations.
