Number of active cases rises to 7,624 from less than 2,000 at the start of the month
There were 1,255 new cases of Covid-19 detected across the UAE on Tuesday, raising total infections to 152,809.

Officials reported that 715 people were cleared of the virus over the past 24 hours, taking the recovery tally to 144,647.

And four people died of complications related to the coronavirus, bringing the death toll to 538.

uesday's new cases were identified after 105,024 tests were carried out across the Emirates.

The country has been robust in its approach to screening with more than 15.1 million tests conducted since the outbreak.

The number of active cases in the UAE is 7,624 – up from less than 2,000 at the start of the month.

More than 1,000 new cases have been reported every day this month with a daily average figure of 1,187.

The highest number of daily cases recorded in the country was 1,578 on October 22 and the lowest since April was 164 on August 3.
