According to the Amer centres clarification grace period for expired visa is been extended keeping in mind covid-19 situtation.All UAE residence visa holders, whose visa expired as on 1 March 2020, can renew their visa untill 10 october 2020.If the residence visa holder do not want to renew visa and want to leave the country has to cancel their visa till 10 october 2020.Grace period to exit the country will be metioned in visa cancellation paper .Amer centres has implemented certain fines on overstay on both the cases,visa not renewed during given period or person does not exit the country.
Overstay fines for residence visa :
• Dh125 for the first day.
• Dh25 for each succeeding day till the first 180 days.
• Dh50 for each succeedin g day till the first year.
• Dh100 for each day after that
If your visa expired after March, you have until October 10 to renew
