Despite where you are living, UAE health authorities have made it extremely simple to get tested for COVID-19, as they have setups so many testing centers across the UAE and also allowed permitting private medical services providers to conduct PCR tests. Emirates Health Services centres are providing free PCR tests can be free for all UAE residents at their centres, you can visit there and get your PCR test done for free of cost. EHS operates several facilities across the UAE, with PCR test centres in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah.

To book an appointment at EHS run centres you can use the COVID-19 EHS app, which is available for Apple and Android devices. Once you will download this app you can also get a list of the nearest location where you can get a PCR test done. It is advisable to book an appointment in advance as most of these centres don’t accept walk-in requests.

@ Dubai Health Authority (DHA) free tests for certain categories:

Dubai Health Authority (DHA) provides free tests only for the following categories:

1. UAE Nationals

2. Son / Daughter of UAE National mother

3. Households of UAE Nationals

4. Senior citizens & Residents (above the age of 50)

5. Pregnant women

6. People of determination (not their Families if residents)

7. Patients with chronic diseases: “Diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, arteries, tumors and rheumatism, chronic liver and kidney disease, brain and nerves (with the condition of the medical report)

The free test will be provided every four months except if the patient develops COVID-19 symptoms, is in contact with a positive case, or has developed a risk: pregnancy / chronic disease.

Test Result:

You will get an SMS within 24 hours or you can check through the DHA App, under patients' administrations, lab results.

@ Seha test centres free of cost for certain categories: 

If you belong to any of the following categories, you can have a free PCR test, once every four months:

1. UAE Nationals

2. Children of Emirati Women

3. Domestic workers within Emirati households
