SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, the marine life theme park, has finally announced its official opening date on May 23, 2023. Developed by Miral and SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, the attraction is spread across five indoor levels with eight themed realms that offer animal encounters, rides, entertainment, dining, and shopping experiences. Located on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, the park will be home to over 100,000 marine animals from 150 different species of birds, fish, mammals, and reptiles.
The highlight of the park is the Endless Ocean realm, which features the world's largest and most extensive multi-species aquarium, housing more than 68,000 marine animals, including sharks, schools of fish, manta rays, and sea turtles. The aquarium will contain over 25 million liters of water and will be a dynamic habitat for marine animals.
The habitats in each realm are custom-designed, using state-of-the-art technology and the highest standards for animal welfare, as set by the Association of Zoos and Aquarium and American Humane. Designed to provide flexibility for animal welfare, the Animal Life Support System (ALSS) manages water quality, while the Advanced Animal Lighting System (AALS) recreates night/day and seasonal light cycles, providing the health benefits of full-spectrum light.
