If a UAE residents are planning to sponsor family in the UAE and wish to apply for an entry permit, it’s not necessary to visit a typing centre .ICA provided the steps how a UAE residents can applyonline for an entry permit for their dependent .He/she can do the same by visiting ica.gov.ae or through the ICA app. Sirajudeen Ummer , a public Relations Officer with Dubai- based First Gate Business Services mentioned that any UAE resident can apply for their dependents visa through the ICA website or smart application very easily. He also added that one can apply for an entry permit, change of status or request to get the visa stamped-all the processes are available online. The above information was also viral in social media.
 
These are the steps you need to follow to apply for your dependents’ visa, according to first Gate Business services.

Step1: Register on online portal

Login on www.ica.gov.ae or download the ICA app and create a user name and password. If you have UAE PASS credentials, one can also use them.

Step2: Sponsor files registration

Submit the following documents to open a Sponsor file:

➢ Sponsor’s passport copy and visa page.

➢ Sponsor’s Emirates ID copy.

➢ Salary certificate(if the sponsor work in the government sector or a free Zone) or labour 

contract(If the sponsors works in the private sector)

➢ File registration fees DH 255.

➢ Important point to be kept in mind is that all the documents should be uploaded on the website as a colour copy in the pdf or jpg format.

Step 3: Apply for an entry permit

Select the residence permit issuance service online and upload the following documents:

➢ Sponsor passport copy and visa page.

➢ Emirates ID copy.

➢ Salary certificate or labour contract.

➢ Attested marriage certificate, with, legal translation.

➢ Attested birth certificate, with legal translation.

➢ Ejari copy or tenancy contract

➢ Passport copy of Dependent’s

➢ Photographs of Dependent’s with white background.

➢ Total fees required isDh306

➢ Once you submit the application and pay the fee you will receive the permit via email.

Step 4: Change status

The further step is to request for a ‘change status’ online. You would need to provide the following documents:

➢ Current tourist visa copy or cancellation confirmation letter copy.

➢ Cost of New entry permit is Dh559

Step5: Apply for medical fitness test, Emirates ID and health insurance.

One need to apply for his /her, medical fitness test (above 18 years only), Emirates ID and health insurance, which is mandatory for Abu Dhabi and Dubai visa holders. 

Step 6: Visa stamping

One need to apply for a request to get the visa stamped. This too can be done online, by submitting the following documents:

➢ Copy of Entry permit.

➢ Change status copy (if the person inside)

➢ Sponsor passport copy with visa page.

➢ Ejari or tenancy contract copy.

➢ Marriage certificate copy (both country’s attested)

➢ Copy of marriage certificate legal translation.

➢ Birth certificate copy

➢ Copy of birth certificate legal translation.

➢ Applicant passport copy 

➢ One photograph with white background.

➢ Government fee for Visa stamping application normalDh458.

If an emergency one can visit an immigration department and get the visa stamped at the department on the spot. One need to pay an additional DH100 for this service
