The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) in the UAE has officially refuted claims of a "potential worldwide Internet service interruption" on October 11. In light of recent reports, the TDRA emphasizes the importance of relying exclusively on trusted official sources to prevent unnecessary concern.

Amidst numerous reports suggesting a looming Internet outage, a video circulating on social media has garnered attention. It appears to feature a news presenter announcing a temporary Internet service cutoff. The video then transitions to a well-known news segment discussing the alleged disruption.

However, Arabic media sources have revealed that the video is manipulated. The original episode, which aired in 2018, had news presenters addressing an entirely different issue. The viral video has been edited to blur visuals while adding audio related to the supposed Internet disruption.

Additionally, social media has seen speculations attributing the October 11 outage to a 'solar storm'.

The TDRA asserts unequivocally that there are no plans for any Internet service disruptions on October 11.
