A man was able to track down thieves who stole his iPhone from his luggage while traveling from Dubai International Airport to his home country.

The Egyptian national was surprised to find the lock on his check-in luggage was broken after he reached his destination, as per Emarat Al Youm report. 

He immediately checked his bags and realised that thieves had stolen his iPhone 7.

After logging into his iCloud account, he found that his phone was still in Dubai International Airport. The man's brother notified Dubai Police regarding the theft.

Police apprehended three Asian nationals, aged 19 to 27, who worked for a plane-cleaning and luggage moving company at Terminal 1.

The trio confessed to the crime, stating that they would break into luggage bags and steal small, valuable items and share the profits.
