Everday 273 children are born in UAE.This post is to help parents of new born baby parents in getting passport for their babies born inside Kingdom. These are the step you need to follow:
According to the UAE law, to get legal recognition for their child the man and woman must be legally married to each other.
After the child is born in the government hospital then hospital will issue birth certificate .Which will be stamped and signed by hospital authority.
If child is born in private hospitals, parents have to apply to the Ministry of health and Prevention or the health authority in their emirate of residence for a birth certificate by presenting the birth notification.
 It’s necessary for the residents  to register their child birth with in maximum period of  30 days in the UAE.According to UAE government the  child will adopt the nationality of the father.
To process the birth certificates a parent need  to submit the following identification paper to the hospital where the child is born, or to the relevant healthy authority in the emirate.
• Attested marriage certificate which should be in Arabic compulsorily.
• Original and Photo copy of passport and residence visa.
• Birth notification details from the hospital.
• Discharge summary from the hospital.
All expatraites must get birth certificates attested by ministry of health and prevention and ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation.
 
Birth certificate must be stamped by Department of health Abu Dabi. (HAAD) or Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
 
It’s important that parents should follow the immunisation schedule. Immunisation book is issued as some vaccine (BCG and Hepatatis) should be administered just after the birth.
 
Passport sized photos of baby is required with plain white background. This is a challenging task to take a picture of baby with open eyes. It’s better to click the photograph at home with high resolution camera.
 
Next step is to find out the process for applying for new born’s passport. This often includes visits to the embassy and filling out long paperwork so take time off from your office to get everything in order.
 
Fees for passport can differ depending on the country .It is best to contact the embassy in advance to find out about the charges, documents required, processing time .
 
It is necessary  for the residents  to arrange the formal documents with in 120 days after the birth of their child, which include birth certificate, passports,EmiratesID and visas for their new born babies.
 
If the residence visa is not finalised within120 days then a fee of DH 100 per day would be charged for each day over the 120- day period, and the baby will not be allowed to exit the country.
