You can seek assistance from us if you have been placed under a travel ban due to a court case.

In the UAE, there may be travel restrictions imposed by a judge on you if you have a criminal case filed against you or if you have certain civil or commercial cases in the country.

You can, however, request the cancellation of the travel ban from the Ministry of Justice.

This service is offered online by the Ministry of Justice, which is accessible by either the individual or their lawyer. Find out how to request this service below.

Submitting a request for a case

To submit your request, follow these steps:

1. To request the cancellation of a travel ban order, go to the Ministry of Justice website. You can also visit this service directly

2. Select 'Start service'.

3. Log in with your UAE Pass account.

4. Your personal dashboard will then appear.

5. Choose 'My cases' under 'Case Management'. You'll be shown a list of cases that relate to you.

6. To view a case's details, click on the eye icon.

7. Several options will be available to you, such as 'add lawyer', 'remove lawyer' and 'request'. Select 'request'.

8. Complete the form that requires you to enter information about the case as well as the request that you are making. Depending on the type of case, you may see different choices under 'request name', according to the Ministry of Justice. Additionally, certain requests may require payment. Your request will be processed once you've submitted and paid. Certain requests may require court judge approval.

9. Upload the relevant documents.

10. Click the Submit button.

Make a payment for the request

Depending on the case, you are required to make any necessary payments once you have submitted your request. To determine the amount due, follow these steps:

1. Click on the dashboard, then enter the reference number of your application.

2. In the right-hand corner, click on the box with a checkmark.

3. The amount of the payment will be displayed on the screen. Click 'Continue' to proceed.

4. Make the payment by entering the details of your credit card.

Print or view the request

The following steps will guide you through printing the request.

1. Go to 'Case Management - My Cases' on your dashboard.

2. To open the case files, click the eye icon.

3. Click on the file link to download the PDF and print it in the documents section.

As per the website of the Ministry of Justice, the application will be processed within five working days. Once approved, the travel ban will be lifted. Through the case dashboard, you can track your request's progress.
