Officials confirmed on Monday night that two people were killed and dozens injured in a fire triggered by a gas cylinder explosion at an Abu Dhabi restaurant.
Using information gained from the site of the restaurant in Al Khalidiya, Abu Dhabi Police and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence reported that 64 people sustained minor injuries and 56 others sustained moderate injuries.

South Asian cuisine is served at the outlet, which occupies a five-story building behind Khalidiyah Mall.
There have been injuries and shop damage, according to preliminary reports. A building evacuation has taken place.
Since the fire was reported, four residential buildings in the area have been evacuated, and residents are staying in temporary accommodations while authorities ensure that the buildings are safe to occupy.
