According to Khaleej Times, some flights from the UAE have been affected by the escalation of tensions between Israel and Palestine.
Due to ongoing issues in Israel, Etihad Airways flights EY593/EY594 between Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Tel Aviv (TLV) on October 8 were canceled. Passengers booked on these services are being assisted with their travel arrangements, an airline spokesperson said.
As part of its close contact with the authorities, Etihad continues to monitor the situation in Israel. "The safety and comfort of our guests and crew is our number one priority, and we apologize for the disruption of their travel plans," said the spokesperson.
FlyDubai said its flights FZ 1625/1626 and FZ 1807/1808 on October 7 were cancelled. Despite this, Ben Gurion Airport flights are "operating on schedule" as of October 8. "We will continue to monitor the situation closely and amend our schedule accordingly," said a FlyDubai spokesperson.
The spokesperson for Dubai's flagship carrier Emirates, which operates three flights daily to Tel Aviv, said that "flights are currently operating as scheduled".
FlyDubai reported earlier that some flights had been delayed due to operational issues.
Cancellations of flights
This weekend, major airlines from around the world canceled flights to Tel Aviv.
The arrivals board at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion airport showed Air France, Lufthansa, Ryanair, Aegan Airlines, and some US airlines pulling flights.
Commercial air traffic continued to Eilat, Israel's second international airport and a popular tourist destination.
As a result of the current security situation in Tel Aviv, Lufthansa maintained one flight back to Frankfurt, but "all other Lufthansa flights to and from Tel Aviv have been canceled."
Air France said it had halted Tel Aviv flights a day "until further notice".
Air France-KLM group's low-cost carrier Transavia also cancelled a flight from Paris to Tel Aviv on Saturday evening.
Air India also cancelled two flights, one from New Delhi to Tel Aviv, and another from Tel Aviv to New Delhi, according to ANI.
