Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently launched a new initiative called "Golden Chance," which offers expatriates a unique opportunity to obtain a UAE driving license without attending driving classes. This initiative is designed to streamline the process of acquiring a driving license for eligible applicants.
To qualify for this "Golden Chance," applicants must meet specific criteria. First, they must possess a valid driving license from their home country. Secondly, they must successfully pass both the RTA's theoretical and practical driving examinations in a single attempt. This initiative took effect on April 1st.

The "Golden Chance" initiative extends this benefit to residents from non-exempt countries, offering them a one-time opportunity to bypass the extensive process of obtaining a UAE driving license.
Upon completing the necessary registration and paying the required fees, eligible applicants can immediately take the theoretical and practical driving tests. This opportunity is only available once; if the applicant fails, they must enroll in regular driving classes.
