A two-year-old child sustained critical injuries.
Seven people were injured in a traffic accident  in Abu Dhabi.

The GCC national family had been driving in their vehicle after Al Wathba bridge heading towards Abu Dhabi when a 3 tonne pick-up truck swerved from the centre lane.

This caused the driver to also swerve, ramming into the metal railing to the right of the road.

A 2-year-old child sustained serious injuries, while the rest of the family sustained minor to moderate injuries. 

Lt. Colonel Dr Abdullah Yousuf Al Suwaid, deputy director of the department of traffic for external areas in the traffic and patrols directorate of Abu Dhabi, said, "Motorists should make sure the road is clear before changing lanes, and be focused on the road at all times."
