Getting your pass is super easy! The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) issues it, and you can buy it online through the 'nol Pay' app or at any nearby Metro station.

Travel Pass: What It Is?

The Travel Pass is a special nol product that you can put on your nol card. It lets you take multiple trips on any line of public transport, except for buses across cities. If you already have a nol card (silver, blue, or gold), you can easily add the Travel Pass to it, according to the RTA.

If you don't have a nol card and don't want one for future use, you can buy a "red ticket," which is for a single trip. But here's the cool part – you can ask the counter agent to turn that red ticket into a Travel Pass! Then, you can use the Metro for up to five trips in a day. It's super convenient!

Travel Card Validity

- nol Red Tickets: 1 day
- Anonymous nol silver/gold cards: 7 days
- Registered or Personalised nol cards: 30 days, 90 days, or 365 days.

Eligibility: All nol card and nol red ticket holders are eligible to benefit from this service.

How to Purchase a Travel Pass

There are three ways to purchase a travel pass these are as follows:

1. Through Ticket Office Machines:

- Visit the Metro station's Ticket Office.
-  Hand over your nol card and request the desired Travel Pass.
- Pay for the Travel Pass.
- The station agent uploads and activates it instantly.
- Your Travel Pass is ready to use. 

2. Through Ticket Vending Machines

- Approach any Ticket Vending Machine.
-  Tap your nol card on the card reader.
-  Select your desired Travel Pass.
- Pay for the Travel Pass.
-  Your Travel Pass is instantly activated. 

3. Through nol Pay Application (How to Buy Travel Pass Online):

- Download the nol Pay app for Android and for IOS app and log in with your UAE Pass. 
- On the app's homepage, click 'Purchase Travel Pass'.
- Place your nol card on the back of your phone on the NFC area. Once the app notifies you that the scanning is complete, you can remove the card.
- The app will fetch your nol card details, like balance and transactions.
- Choose the 'Travel Pass' type based on your nol card.
- Pick your desired zone type: Single Zone, Two adjacent zones, or All zones.
- Select the specific zone(s) you want to travel in from the display map.
- Pay for the Travel Pass using your credit or debit card online.
- After the payment, scan your card again to activate the Travel Pass.

Cost of the Travel Pass:

Choosing the travel pass requires selecting the desired number of zones for your travels. Select zones when buying the travel pass for Dubai's public transport map, divided into 7 zones with Metro, Bus, Tram, and Water bus stations. Choose from 1, 2, or all zones for your journeys.

Below is a cost breakdown:

Red Ticket (AED)

The cost mentioned above applies to a single trip. However, you have the option to add more trips to this ticket, with a maximum limit of five trips per day. Each additional trip will require a top-up payment.

Silver nol Card (AED)

Gold nol Card (AED)

Blue card holder: categories that receive concessions (AED)

Terms and Conditions Applied: 

1. To purchase the Travel Pass using the nol Pay system, customers need to tap and hold the card on the NFC area after the successful payment transaction.
2. Anonymous nol card holders are limited to purchasing only a 7-day pass and are not eligible for the 30, 90, and 365-day Travel Pass options.
3. Red tickets can be reloaded with a maximum of 5 daily passes.
4. The Travel Pass is valid for use only within Dubai and cannot be used outside of the designated zones.
5. When loading a daily pass on the nol card or nol red ticket, the customer must specify their intended travel area, as the pass will be limited to those designated zones.
6. If a customer travels outside the validity zone covered by their pass, regular travel fees will apply.
7. 30, 90, and 365-day Travel Passes can be renewed within 5 days before or after their expiry date.
8. The 7-day pass must be renewed within 3 days before its expiry.
9. Travel Pass holders are not entitled to a refund for trips taken during days when RTA public transport is free, and these free days will not be added to the validity of their daily pass.
