Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, presided over a council meeting where he approved the Child Protection Policy. This policy is designed to offer support to families and caregivers while fostering a nurturing environment for children.

The Child Protection Policy, a collaborative effort between the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority and various organizations, is aimed at safeguarding children by assisting families in creating a positive upbringing environment. The recently endorsed policy promotes principles of fairness, non-discrimination, and enhances the ability to respond promptly to cases of abuse or neglect.

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed emphasized the significance of extending comprehensive support and care to the early childhood ecosystem. He also stressed the importance of prioritizing children's involvement in programs and activities that equip them with life skills and bolster their resilience. Moreover, he underscored the need to develop educational initiatives that raise awareness among families and parents about the physical, psychological, and social challenges and risks that children may encounter.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi pointed out that investing in early childhood to provide a healthy environment for raising children, safeguarding their rights, and preserving their well-being is a top priority in equipping the youth with the skills to lead the nation.
