The UAE government is providing different online as well as offline facilities by which you can check your visa status in UAE.

Whenever you have applied for your visa, you will get a copy of your application form. "The reference number can be found on the visa application that you have submitted. In case you only have your passport available with you then you can use your passport number for the inquiry but only after your visa is issued not when it is under process.

If you have applied for a visa to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, or Fujairah, then according to the UAE Government’s official website, you can track your visa application on the website of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICA). How to track visa application in UAE
Here you would ask to enter the ‘Request number’ or the Application number. After providing the required details the system will give you an update on the visa application status.
If you have applied for a Dubai visa: In case you have applied for a Dubai visa or through Amer centers Dubai, then your visa application can be tracked through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai here:

How to track How UAE visa only through the passport number?
In case you only have your passport number then to track your visa’s status you can use the ICA service here:

This permits visa holders to really take a look at the status and validity of their visas. However, this service can only be used if your visa is already issued not for the visa under process, as stated by Muhammad.
"We can just check the details of the visa validity and status through this process once the visa has been given – regardless of whether residence or visit visa. When you visit the link, two options will be given for checking the visa status of ‘e-visa’ or ‘residency’, which is for residence visas or visit visas. The residence visa must be checked later the visa has been stamped on your passport. In case you have a visit visa or an entry permit then you can select the e-visa option,” according to Muhammad.
Steps to check Visa Status:
1. Visit the Link.
2. Select ‘Search by Passport information’.
3. If you are enquiring about your residence visa, select ‘Residency’. If you have a visit visa or an e-visa/entry permit, select ‘Visa’.
4. Enter your passport number, passport expiry date, and nationality.
5. Solve the Captcha box for identity verification and click ‘Search’.
The system will then, at that point, provide you the details like the visa file number, Unified ID number, visa status, date of issue, and expiry.
