Dubai authorities have revealed a comprehensive security plan for the renowned New Year's Eve fireworks event, spanning 32 locations across the city. The Events Security Committee in Dubai has strategically divided the city into four sectors—North, Central, West, and Maritime—to enhance the organization of festivities.

The committee, consisting of 55 government and private entities, disclosed that the fireworks displays will occur at 32 locations, including iconic landmarks such as Burj Khalifa, The Beach, Bluewaters (JBR), Palm Jumeirah, Kite Beach, Hatta, Global Village, Al Seef, and Festival City.

To facilitate the celebration, multiple screens, arranged in collaboration with the Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs, will be set up for workers to enjoy the New Year festivities. These designated viewing areas, equipped with six screens and food services, aim to ensure a safe and congestion-free experience for spectators.

Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, the assistant commandant for operations affairs at Dubai Police and chairman of the Events Security Committee, emphasized the collaborative efforts of all 55 entities in devising a unified security plan. This plan encompasses securing tourist areas, managing traffic, and ensuring the safety of individuals during the New Year's Eve celebrations.

Al Ghaithi urged the public to cooperate with the police, adhere to traffic instructions, and reach out to Dubai Police in case of emergencies. Several supply tents in downtown Dubai will provide services for lost and found items, first aid, logistical support, assistance for lost children, and visitor guidance.

Dubai Police announced the deployment of nearly 12,000 personnel, including 5,574 police officers, along with patrols, civil defence, and ambulance vehicles, across Dubai and Hatta to facilitate the smooth management of New Year's Eve 2024 celebrations.

Dubai Municipality plans to deploy 2,700 executive and field teams to various celebration sites, with a focus on maintaining cleanliness and aesthetic appeal. The teams will oversee popular locations such as Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown Dubai, Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, and others.

Dubai Civil Defence will station over 947 firefighters at celebration sites, while the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services will deploy 178 ambulances, four boats, 556 paramedics, and 35 supervisors on standby for 46 events across Dubai on New Year’s Eve. Ambulances will be strategically stationed in vital areas, ensuring swift emergency response and visitor safety. Additionally, numerous ambulance points have been designated across various areas, including Jebel Ali, Bur Dubai, rural areas, and Deira, with special provisions for the Hatta Festival from December 15 to 31.
