After nearly an hour of intermittent connectivity issues, primarily affecting web services, WhatsApp services were restored at approximately 12:10 pm. However, the websites for Facebook and Instagram remain inaccessible.

Users of WhatsApp in the UAE encountered difficulties when attempting to send messages on both mobile and desktop platforms on Saturday morning. Glitches were also observed across other Meta platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. WhatsApp messages were being sent with only one gray tick mark, and desktop users found themselves logged out. While text messages on the app began functioning after a few minutes, the web platform continued to be unresponsive, displaying an error message stating, "The site can't be reached."

The monitoring platform Downdetector.com recorded an increase in user reports of WhatsApp issues at 10:47 am. Similar spikes in problem reports were observed for Facebook starting at 11:11 am, Messenger at 11:14 am, and Instagram at 11:12 am.

Although the Facebook and Instagram mobile apps seemed to be functioning, albeit with some slowness for certain users, the websites failed to load on desktop browsers.

As of now, Meta has not issued an official statement regarding the issue
