The inaugural Industrialist Career Fair in Abu Dhabi drew hundreds of young Emirati attendees. A senior official from the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) highlighted that this three-day exhibition serves as an empowering platform for Emirati talent, a groundbreaking initiative in the region, bringing together both factories and job seekers. This sector-specific exhibition is offering up to 500 job opportunities in industry and advanced technology for Emiratis. Throughout the morning, Emirati job seekers formed queues in front of each exhibiting company's booth, aiming to impress hiring managers and secure the available positions.
The event has received support and participation from key figures, including Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, the UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Sarah Al Amiri, the Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology; Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade; and Omar Al Suwaidi, the Undersecretary of the MoIAT.
Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber stated, "The Industrialist Career Fair aligns with the objectives of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology to increase the sector's contribution to GDP. The exhibition serves as an empowering platform for Emirati talent under the national in-country value (ICV) program, one of the 'Projects of the 50.'" Al Suwaidi added that this MoIAT-led initiative is a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), and ADNOC Group.
The event, which is the first of its kind, brings together ICV-certified industrial companies and jobseekers under one roof, offering job opportunities and train-to-hire prospects for local talent. Over 73 industrial companies are presenting more than 500 job vacancies during the fair.
Al Suwaidi praised the collaboration among strategic partners and industrial companies, as well as their commitment to providing diverse job and training opportunities. These opportunities encompass various fields such as science and engineering, information technology, supply chains, business and financial management, human resources, and accounting. Specialized training programs in industrial engineering, health and safety, production, maintenance, metallurgy, control, quality, and industrial automation are also being offered at institutions including the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research & Training (CERT) and Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI).
The exhibition will continue at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre until Thursday, from 9 am to 4 pm.
