In Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, June 28.

Modi visited the UAE after attending the G7 summit in Germany to express his condolences on the passing of former UAE President and Abu Dhabi ruler Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

On a day-long visit, the Prime Minister is in the UAE. In an earlier statement, the UAE Ministry of External Affairs said he will also congratulate Sheikh Mohammed on his election as president.

After reaching Abu Dhabi, Modi tweeted in English and Arabic, "I am touched by the special gesture made by my brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to meet me at the airport. My sincere gratitude to him."
