In the Sharjah Ruler's Office, the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) met on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the SEC. The meeting discussed general governmental issues, including developing legal legislation in the emirate, following up on the progress of government work in various departments and entities, and reviewing plans to provide more services to UAE citizens and residents in Sharjah.

As a result of the SEC's decision (23) of 2023 regarding the organisation of Islamic establishments and activities in Sharjah, its provisions apply to all Islamic activities, mosques, public and private mosques, cemeteries, and their workers.

Islamic activities were also regulated in the decision, such as restricted and prohibited acts in mosques, permits for Islamic activities, and printing copies of the Holy Quran and Islamic publications.

Furthermore, the decision included legal provisions governing the construction, modification, and maintenance of mosques, including land allocation, construction, maintenance, and endowment.

Additionally, it included decisions pertaining to mosque workers, the organization of public and private mosques, and transitional provisions, such as penalties, administrative measures, and judicial seizure.

Additionally, the SEC discussed a number of plans to develop digital systems for government entities in the emirate in line with technological advances, rapid growth in all sectors, and the delivery of services in the most efficient way.
