Abu Dhabi Airports announced on Friday that British Airways will recommence daily flights to Abu Dhabi next year after a four-year hiatus. Bookings are now open for the Abu Dhabi-London route, which is scheduled to start on April 20, 2024. The new flight between London Heathrow and Abu Dhabi International Airport's recently inaugurated Terminal A will be serviced by a Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Neil Chernoff, Director of Network and Alliances at British Airways, expressed, "Abu Dhabi is a distinct destination that is eagerly returning to our network. Offering a combination of beach, city, and desert experiences, it encompasses everything our customers seek in a Middle Eastern journey."
Special promotional rates for early bookings are available. British Airways is offering round-trip fares starting from £449 (approximately Dh2,000) in economy class and £1,999 (about Dh8,900) in business class for reservations made before October 29.
Maureen Bannerman, Chief Commercial Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, stated, "We are thrilled to welcome British Airways back to Abu Dhabi International Airport, further enriching the list of prominent airlines that have chosen Terminal A as their operational hub in Abu Dhabi. Terminal A, a luxurious new gateway to Abu Dhabi, is set to open to the public on November 1, offering state-of-the-art facilities for both passengers and airlines."
