Abu Dhabi has launched an initiative to simplify procedures for bereaved families, including getting a death certificate and arranging for burial, by digitally integrating seven government entities.
A new initiative called Sanadkom has been launched by the Abu Dhabi Program for Effortless Customer Experience (ADPECX). In the first phase, the initiative will serve the families of deceased UAE nationals. At a later stage, it will include all residents of the emirate.
In addition to simplifying the customer experience for the families of the deceased, Sanadkom facilitates their access to government services and supports their grieving process.
Under the wise leadership of Dr Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, the Undersecretary of Health said, "Under the directives of our wise leadership, we are committed to enhancing the customer experience and providing exceptional government services."
As part of the initiative, a representative from the joint government support team will be assigned to provide support and assistance to bereaved families on a case-by-case basis via phone, ensuring that all services are provided without the need to visit any government entity in person.
By completing all necessary death-related transactions, such as obtaining a death certificate, arranging for the deceased's burial, and distributing retirement pension benefits to beneficiaries on behalf of the insured or the deceased, families will have all means of support and assistance.
The initiative digitally unifies the services of seven governmental entities in the emirate, including the Department of Health, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), the Abu Dhabi Pension Fund (ADPF), the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company – SEHA, the Abu Dhabi Public Health Center (ADPHC), the Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC), and the Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC).
"Today marks a significant milestone where seven governmental entities have joined forces to launch the Sanadkom initiative's first phase. Specifically, this initiative aims to provide bereaved families with an integrated service that enables them to complete all government forms efficiently," Dr Al Ghaithi stated.
